Zazzee's botanical supplements are in the "Goldilocks" zone for me, the sweet spot of premium products that I can afford to use long term. (I've taken this company's tart cherry and French maritime pine bark supplements for about four years now and am very happy with them.) I've been reading about the range of health benefits saffron offers, so I was excited to be able to try this new entry in Zazzee's product line... I'm primarily interested in saffron for its neuroprotective properties. Each of these capsules contains 88.5 mg of standardized organic saffron, well within the 1.5-gram upper daily limit considered safe, so I'm planning to add this to my everyday supplement stack. ...The capsules are relatively small and easy to swallow. Because my GI system is my Achilles heel, I'm following the recommendation to take saffron with food and haven't had any issues so far. One of the many things I appreciate about Zazzee's products is how clean they are: the only other ingredients here aside from the USDA-organic-certified saffron itself are organic pullulan (a polysaccharide that's a vegetarian-friendly alternative to gelatin capsules), organic rice powder, and organic rice hulls--you can't get much purer than that! I also like having 100 capsules per bottle instead of 90 so I don't have to worry about running out (those pesky 31-day months!).

I absolutely love that these are organic without crazy additives and toxins! I've read that saffron can be great for PMS symptoms, anxiety and depression, weight loss, and much more. This brand offers a quality supplement at a competitive price, which is amazing. The capsules are reasonably sized and have a slightly earthy smell. Recommend!
